Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Casts former NFL Player

Season 2 of ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ended with a face-off between S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Inhumans, so it makes sense that even more Inhuman characters will be appearing in season 3. Last week we learned that one of these new characters will be Lash, played by Matthew Willig. Willig has also appeared on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Grimm, NCIS and Chuck. The veteran NFL tackle will not only have strong superhuman strength, but according to TVLine, he will also have strong opinions about the future of the Inhumans. Agents_of_SHIELD_logo Lash has made a few appearances in Marvel comics and he has quite a unique and aggressive look. Executive producer, Jeff Bell teases that audiences won’t always recognize Willig. They will be working with the Glenn Hetrick, who helped achieve Raina’s new look last season. Other new characters, according to EntertainmentWeekly, include a highly-skilled killer (Constance Zimmer) of the ATCU (Advanced Threat Containment Unit), her frightening partner, Banks (Andrew Howard) and new Inhuman Joey (Juan Pablo Raba) who is struggling to control his new abilities, much like Skye. The makeup effects and visual effects teams will have a busy season with all these visualizing exciting Inhuman characters. Get a closer look at the new characters when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 9/8c.
