Mike Colter (Halo: Nightfall) will play Luke Cage, a wrongly accused man who gains superpowers, breaks out of prison, and eventually becomes a superhero for hire. Colter will be the first to portray Luke Cage in live-action and will debut in the Jessica Jones Netflix series before headlining his own show next year. Cheo Hodari Coker (Ray Donovan, Almost Human) serves as executive producer and showrunner on Marvel’s Luke Cage, a project produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix. Alfre Woodard is represented by ICM Partners and Circle of Confusion and can be currently seen in the feature film Mississippi Grind.
