Batman: Arkham Knight Gets A New Release Date

"Find out when your next adventure as The Dark Knight will begin"
The highly anticipated new entry in Rocksteady’s Batman series has finally got a firm release date. Batman: Arkham Knight will be swooping down on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on June 2, 2015. Quite a delay given the game was originally scheduled for release this fall before being delayed like many other games this year. That will give Rocksteady around 3 & ½ years development since their last game and should hopefully give them enough time to pull off their most ambitious game yet.
This is their first game since Batman: Arkham City after WB Montreal took development lead on the most recent entry, Batman: Arkham Origins. Batman: Arkham Knight is the series’ first foray on the new consoles and is described as being Rocksteady’s last entry. Hopefully they send off this fantastic series with a bang.

Also announced today was two pretty nice special edition copies of the game that you can pre-order. The Limited Edition will include:
· Custom Art Book – 80 Page, Full Color Art Book Showcasing the concept art of Batman Arkham Knight · Limited Edition SteelBook™ – Unique SteelBook™ case and game disc · Comic Book – Limited Edition DC Comics Batman: Arkham Knight #0 Comic Book · Exclusive Character Skin Pack – Three Unique Skins from DC Comics – The New 52 · Batman Memorial Statue – Imposing statue commemorating Gotham’s Protector, the Dark Knight

This version will cost £89.99/$99.99 on consoles and £74.99 on PC. However if you want even more then you can go for the Batmobile Edition which will include:
· Custom Art Book – 80 Page, Full Color Art Book Showcasing the concept art of Batman Arkham Knight · Limited Edition SteelBook™ – Unique SteelBook™ case and game disc · Comic Book – Limited Edition DC Comics Batman: Arkham Knight #0 Comic Book · Exclusive Character Skin Pack – Three Unique Skins from DC Comics – The New 52 · Transforming Batmobile Statue – Fully transformable Batmobile statue realized in exquisite detail

This version is only available on consoles and will cost £169.99/$199.99. Whether you plump for either version or just get a regular copy of the game, it is great to finally have a firm release date to look forward to after rumors of the game coming out in an already stacked February now turning out to be false. Let’s just hope it doesn't get delayed until October 2015.
