Ben Affleck to play Batman

Warner Bros. just sent out a press release stating that Oscar-Award winning Ben Affleck is going to play as the new iteration of the caped crusader of Gotham City. Opening on July 15th, 2015, Henry Cavil will reprise his role in the follow up to Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, with a sequel that will pit the Man of Steel against the Caped Crusader.

There were rumors floating around this past Feburary, where Affleck was supposedly being courted to direct the Justice League movie. Those rumors were debunked shortly, but it seems as though Warner had other plans for Mr. Affleck. It seems a tad strange, seeing as how Affleck had played George Reeves, in 2006's Hollywoodland. Reeves was the actor who played the 1950's TV iteration of Superman. What do you guys think of the news? Do you think that Ben Affleck can play a good Batman, or will he repeat his performance and give us another Daredevil? Let us know here at Entertainment Fuse in the comments below!
