Bioware Founders To Be Inducted into AIAS Hall of Fame

What do Drs. Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuck have in common with Shigeru Miyamoto, Will Wright and Peter Molyneux? On Febrauary 10, the good doctors – creators of Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Baldur’s Gate and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic – will join these esteemed game creators as member of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Science’s Hall of Fame (via 1up.com).

The AIAS said they chose Muzyka and Zeschuck for the award in honor of their “emotionally engaging and detailed cinematic games.” The Hall of Fame award will be bestowed on the pair at the 2011 DICE Summit taking place this February. It will be the first time the award is given to a pair as opposed to an individual.

In a prepared statement, Muzyka said that they share the award with their “passionate, hard-working, creative staff” at Bioware’s studios. Zeschuck extended his thanks to the families of Bioware’s employees, which, combined with the teams’ hard work, “continually enable Bioware’s success.”
