Black Friday Deals for Comic Book Fans

Every year it seems like the Black Friday shopping sales become more extreme and start earlier. While big box stores certainly are offering some exciting deals, it’s not just electronics, clothes and toys that you can buy on Black Friday. Comic book fans have their own Black Friday deals this year. If you have a comics fan in your life or you just want to treat yo’ self, check out some of these great deals.   Marvel Comics How would you like 20% off your purchase at marvel.com? Act fast on this deal because it expires at midnight on Black Friday (November 27th). As an added bonus, orders over $50 get free shipping.       Dark Horse and Image Comics Both Dark Horse Comics and Image Comics are offering special Black Friday deals for single digital issues. Go to the Dark Horse website, and you can buy single issue comics for $0.99. This includes popular Dark Horse series like Hellboy, Fight Club 2, Halo, Conan the Avengers, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Image Comics is have a similar deal with $0.99 off single issues and collected editions up to 50% off. Image Comics’ sale will end at midnight on December 2nd.       The Dark Knight Sale With the Dark Knight III: The Master Race beginning and Frank Miller talking plans for The Dark Knight IV, DC comics is allowing fans who haven’t read the earlier volumes to get caught up. DC Comics is offering Frank Miller volumes of Batman (digital comics and e-books) at nearly half off. The Dark Knight Returns and The Dark Knight Strikes Again are each $6.99 (regular price $12.99). For the same price, you can also get Frank Miller’s Batman: Year One or his team-up with superstar artist Jim Lee All Star Batman and Robin, Volume 1. This sale ends on November 29th.       Barnes & Noble graphic novels Perhaps you prefer physical copies of your comics to digital comics, though. Barnes & Noble has you covered there. When you buy 2 graphic novels from Marvel or DC at Barnes & Noble, you can select a third for free. This sale is valid both in Barnes & Noble stores and at bn.com. The qualifying items eligible may vary. The best part of this sale, though, is that it’s not a short-term offer. This sale will go until January 11th! So you can either pick out some holiday gifts for friends or for yourself.       Two Morrow Publishing Two Morrows Publishing might not be as familiar of a name as the others on this list, but they put out many titles having to do with the history of comics, from Alter Ego to biographies of comic book legends. Through Monday, November 30th, you can take 40% off digital titles at the Two Morrows website.
