For many X-fans, myself included, learning of the sex abuse allegations agains Bryan Singer just ahead the release of Days of Future Past, was a surprise. Whether you believe he is guilty or not, there is no doubt these allegations will continue to effect each move Singer makes between now and the release of X-Men: Apocalypse. If he’s still on board to direct.
According to reports from Radar Online, these allegations could be responsible for more than him not being present from the premiere of Days of Future Past. Singer could be pulled from directing the next film in the series because of Michael Egan’s allegations. 20th Century Fox, which distributes these X-movies, is uneasy about it all due to the potential this issue has to put a damper on production should Singer continue to helm the project.
Time will tell how it all unfolds. We’ll have to just watch and wait. Stay tuned, we’ll keep you posted.
X-Men: Apocalypse is set to arrive in theaters May 27, 2016.
