Capcom Announces Strider’s Release Dates

We knew that Strider is coming out sometime this month, but Capcom finally announced the specific release dates earlier today for the return of Hiryu. Strider is now coming out on February 18th for Playstation 3 and Playstation 4. Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC folks get the game a day later on the 19th. The game that is developed by Double Helix Games, the makers of the new Killer Instinct on the Xbox One, will cost $14.99 on all platforms.

Two new modes have also been announced from the Capcom Unity blog. The first one is called Beacon Run as it is a speedrun-based mode. Players have to navigate quickly through checkpoints taking out the opposition along the way. It is always nice to see games implement speedrun-like challenges since the culture has been rapidly getting popular the past couple of years.
The other mode is a survival-based mode where Hiryu has to take out difficult waves of enemies with certain loadouts. Along with leaderboards for the story & challenge modes, costumes are also unlockable in the new Strider. Hiryu wears the colors of fallen Striders that are found throughout the game. These costumers also have color edits as well. I won't be surprised if he has Final Fight & Street Fighter's Guy colors here since he had those in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Strider will be released on February 18th/19th and we will have a review of Hiryu's return on Entertainment Fuse later this month.
