Cartoon Network Crossover

IDW Publishing presents Super Secret Crisis War! which combines all of your favorite cartoon network characters in one epic crossover. The fate of the world lies in the hands of Samurai Jack, Ben 10, Dexter, the Powerpuff Girls and… Ed, Edd and Eddy?   Well, we’re doomed.   These heroes will be facing off against their villainous nemeses Aku, Vilgax, Mandark, and Mojo Jojo.   cartoon network 3   The six issue event will be written by Lousie Simonson (Superman: The Man of Steel, X-Factor). The artwork and covers will be done by Derek Charm, the writer and artist of The Powerpuff Girls. If you subscribe to the series you can get subscription covers, each of which will be illustrated by Troy Little which combine to create one big image. There will be other variants as well done by artists like Katie Cook (My Little Pony).   I think this kid-friendly version can be fun but I highly recommend if you’re looking for something a bit more mature that also combines all your favorite characters wonderfully, check out The Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi on Snafu which focuses heavily on the Powerpuff Girls but also has Dexter, Samurai Jack and every other Cartoon Network character you can imagine.   The event will begin in June, but your childhood nostalgia will expand even more in July with a handful of one-shots that tie into Super Crisis War! The Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends one-shot will be written by Ivan Cohen, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy one-shot will be written by Kate Leth, another one-shot, Johnny Bravo, will be written by Erik Burnham. Codename: Kids Next Door will be written by Scott Peterson, and Cow and Chicken will get their own one-shot by Jim Zub.
