CD Projekt Announces The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PC & Next-Gen Consoles

The release of Game Informer's March 2013 issue has finally given us wind that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming. This is the cover piece of the issue that shows us that the third installment of the fantasy role-playing game is coming soon.

The cover shows two people in medieval clothing on horseback looking over a burning wreck of a village as the image is accompanied by the title: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. A must see next generation RPG."

CD Projekt Red teased us with a Witcher 3 announcement at the end of the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 last month where the message said: "...And that's not all that's new, we are about to reveal our other project which is much closer to being completed. And yes, it will also be a fully open-world game with an intense story. You can probably guess the game we're talking about. On the 5th of February it will be all clear."

Game Informer also confirmed on its official website that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming in 2014 on PC and "all high-end platforms available" which leads us to believe that there will be an Xbox 720 or PS4 release, along with the PC and Wii U consoles. The above video posted by Game Informer contains snippets of interviews with the game's developers about Wild Hunt. The game is supposedly huge and has been developed using the brand new REDengine 3 engine which apparently boasts a world thirty times the size of its predecessor and even larger than the immense Skyrim. All of this without a single load screen.

Entertainment Fuse will bring you up to date with any news we hear about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt though our appetite is already wetting for this huge title!
