Coming Soon: Star Wars from the developers of Titanfall

"EA's big announcement on Star Wars Day"

Right now, in this specific galaxy here...[/caption] In celebration of Cinco De Mayo Eve, I have some Star Wars news for you. Respawn Game Director, Stig Asmussen announced in a blog post that they are working on a Star Wars game. The opportunity comes through their partnership with EA games and Lucasfilm.  Thus far the plan is for a third person action adventure game, but aside from that not much is known. But since it’s Star Wars and it is a galaxy far, far away, there are a lot of ways this game can go. The big thing to keep in mind here is the sheer enthusiasm for this project from Respawn. “I witnessed Star Wars unleash its magic on the big screen, forever changing me… Decades later I observed the same wonder in my kids’ eyes as they watched A New Hope. What a rarity, for a book, a film, or even a game to have that kind of impact, spanning several generations” wrote Asmussen. I don’t know about you, but it looks to me like Respawn is taking Star Wars seriously. Respawn is the developer of Titanfall, which was universally praised when released in 2013 and the upcoming sequel Titanfall 2. Star Wars is awesome, you already know everything about it, and I don’t feel that I need to recap it for you. Happy Star Wars Day!
