David Fincher currently off of Steve Jobs BioPic

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that David Fincher is now currently out of the running for the Steve Jobs biopic, that was to be made by Sony Pictures. The film was to reunite writer Aaron Sorkin and producer Scott Rudin, which would reunite the same trio that made The Social Network, the biopic of Mark Zuckerburg and the creation of Facebook.   David_Fincher_01   The issues come with Fincher wanting $10 million dollars upfront, for control over the marketing campaign, as well as creative control over the final product. Sony Pictures had a deal similar from before, with The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo remake, but didn't include the money. Fincher has been notorious for being difficult to work with, but ultimately delivering on a solid final product.  A Steve Jobs biography came out last year, with Ashton Kutcher casted as in the lead role of Jobs. The film was released to mediocre reviews and currently holds a 27% on Rotten Tomatoes. Sony Pictures is looking to replace him, but there's still a chance that David Fincher could make this film, if they cave in to his demands. While it seems as though his demands are high, with his recent success with his previous efforts and his TV phenomenon with House of Cards, David Fincher is most certainly worth the fees, in my honest opinion.
