The big new release of the week is the dark fantasy version of Snow White's tale, Snow White and the Huntsman. The other new releases are the comedy failure What to Expect When You’re Expecting and a collection of indie and foreign films. On the re-release front there are two major box-sets, the comedy classic Airplane! and another James Cameron film.

What
s the Deal?

In a medieval kingdom, the evil queen Ravenna (Theron) has seized the throne and locks up the rightful heir, Snow White (Stewart) in a tower. Years of Ravenna’s rule have laid waste to the land and she sucks the youth out of many women in the kingdom to keep herself young. But when Snow White escapes into the dark forest, Ravenna sends Eric the Huntsman (Hemsworth) to find her before she can raise an army to reclaim the throne.
