EA Sports Announces Madden NFL 25

With the Super Bowl around the corner, tomorrow to be exact, EA Sports picked a good time to announce Madden NFL 25 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. If you are wandering why it is not simply called Madden NFL '14, it is because the franchise is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. In terms of what is new gameplay wise, nothing has been announced yet by EA Tiburon, the developer of the series for numerous years.

EA Sports and ESPN are continuing the recent tradition of the cover vote for Madden as today's football stars will go against legends of the game. The voting process begins on March 11 as SportsNation, the show on ESPN2 that has been hosting these voting shows in recent years, will reveal the brackets featuring 32 of today's NFL superstars and 32 of the sport's greatest legends.

What was also not announced for Madden NFL 25 yet is other platforms besides the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. For now, the game is not coming to the Wii U, Playstation Vita, and 3DS. Even though Madden NFL '13 did get released for the Wii U during its launch day, it is a little weird that EA has not announced that this year's game is coming to Nintendo's latest console. We will find out in the coming months if more platforms get announced such as next-gen consoles by Microsoft and Sony.

Madden NFL 25 comes out on August 27th for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
