Tony Gilroy’s The Bourne Legacy might add yet another amazing actor to its cast, with Edward Norton negotiating for a role in the film. Jeremy Renner earlier signed on as the lead character, an assassin from Bourne’s program; Rachel Weisz is also attached to the film.
Variety reports that Universal didn’t make an official comment about Norton and his negotiations, but if negotiations go as planned, the Academy Award nominee will play the film’s antagonist. He’s currently filming Moonrise Kingdom with director Wes Anderson.
Norton has proven himself as a more than capable actor within violent flicks, powerful dramas, and even films like American History X that combine the two. Hopefully he stays on board through the negotiations, as The Bourne Legacy would be even more worth the wait.
