EGOs #0 to be Told Entirely in Tweets

Last month, Image Comics debuted EGOs #1, a series about an old and worn hero who is forced to come out of retirement, and at a great cost. Now, in a bold effort to build anticipation for issue #2, as well as to draw in new readers to the series, a special single-issue prequel is being released on Tuesday, February 11th. Only, it isn’t your ordinary prequel; EGOs #0 will be written in the form of a series of tweets. Written by Stuart Moore (Wolverine Noir, Spiderman: Fear Itself), and illustrated by Gus Storms (12 Reasons to Die), EGOs #1 was received positively by some of the industry’s top talents and reviewers. Garth Ennis dubbed the comic, “very highly recommended,” and the A.V. Club said of it, “pairing casual, inviting narration with a quickly paced story balancing action and exposition makes this a highly entertaining and accessible debut.”

EGOS

The prose prequel will be told in roughly two hundred 140-character installments written by Moore. It will also feature original artwork by Gus Storms. EGOs #0 will go live from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. EST on the 11th. It will appear exclusively on @EGOsComicZero, an account created specifically for the prequel. EGOs #0 is debuting the same day as Stuart Moore’s AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit, which will be found at http://www.reddit.com/r/comicbooks/. All of this is taking place on the eve of Issue #2’s release, which is available for order with Diamond Code DEC130568 for $2.99. If you enjoy sci-fi and superheroes, EGOs is an ideal blend of both, and if there ever was a time of jump on board with a series, it’s now.
