While Reckoning: Kingdoms of Amalur failed to make a gigantic impact on the Action RPG market, it was still a great game and an impressive freshman title for its developer 38 Studios. Now fans have an excuse to Amalur and weave a new fate for their “Fateless One” with an expansion pack called Legend of Dead Kel.
Legend of Kel is the first expansion pack since launch; there was Day One exclusive content that came with new copies of the game, but nothing since. As the images indicate, much of this new material is pirate-themed as Dead Kel and his Hanged Me gang return to the island for pillaging, plundering and other piratical activities. 
Aside from new adventures and side quests, the DLC pack also adds a new location to Reckoning; the island of Gallows End. There players will fight unique enemies, find new Twist of Fate cards, gain additional Perks, and acquire new weapons. Plus they can become the Lord of Gravehal Keep and lay claim to what is being called “The most expansive player housing option yet”.
Legend of Dead Kel is out now for PC, Xbox and Playstation 3, for the price of $9.99 (800 Microsoft Points). Have a look at our review.
