Fox Renews Three Comedies and (All But) Re-Cancels One

Deadline Hollywood reports that Fox has renewed three more series for an additional season: the young adult comedy New Girl, musical comedy Glee and family comedy Raising Hope for a second season, fourth season and third season, respectively. Following the announcement, Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly said, “All three of these comedies add a fresh and distinctive flavor to our Tuesday nights, and I’m really happy to bring them back to our air next season.”

That happiness doesn't apparently extend to another Fox comedy, Breaking In, which has been pulled off the schedule and will be replaced by repeats of New Girl. It should be noted that the network canceled Breaking In about a year ago, only to have a change of heart a few months later. Resurrection doesn't seem to have brought the show any more luck, or, probably more to Fox's point, more viewers. The remaining episodes of the series (which are apparently victims of the May sweepstakes) will air at a "later date."

Glee, New Girl and Raising Hope air on Tuesdays at 8:00, 9:00, and 9:30 p.m. on Fox
