FXX Announces Premiere Dates for Comedies

It's Always Sunny


FXX, the comedy offspring of cable network FX, has set premiere dates for its flagship programs. The comedy-centric network will be making its debut on September 2nd and it will be carried in 72 million households upon its launch. The network will be airing the former FX comedies It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, and Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell. Always Sunny and The League will premiere their new seasons on Wednesday September 4th at 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET respectively. Totally Biased, which also premieres on September 2nd, will broadcast Monday through Thursday at 11 p.m. ET.  The show will also be adding a weekly Sunday night “best of” episode. Legit, which will also be making the network leap for its second season, does not have a premiere date yet.


Always Sunny
will premiere with the episode titled “The Gang Broke Dee,” which was screened for enthusiastic fans at San Diego Comic-Con. The ninth season of the beloved comedy is sure to bring on the funny and unexpected, with an upcoming “Lethal Weapon 6” themed episode as well as an episode written by Game of Thrones showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff entitled “Flowers for Charlie.”
