“Game of Thrones” Exhibit Shows Off Props and Costumes in Major Cities

For all you “Game of Thrones” geeks out there, you may have to plan a road trip in the near future.

In conjunction with the Season 3 premiere on March 31, selected costumes and props from Seasons 1-3 will be making a tour around five countries, stopping only in major cities. These lucky, lucky cities are: New York City, Toronto, Sao Paulo, Amsterdam, and Belfast, Ireland (where most of the filming takes place).

Ned Stark and Ice
The exhibit will include gems such as King Joffrey’s crossbow, the swords Ice and Longclaw (belonging to Ned Stark and Jon Snow, respectively), crowns, jewelry, books, armor, and much, much more. There will also be a simulation of the Battle of Blackwater Bay, the assault on King’s Landing from the Season 2 finale.

And obviously, the Iron Throne will be present, and anyone can sit on it. I think I just got goosebumps. The entire exhibit is free to the public (that’s right, FREE) and begins in Toronto on March 9. I think it’s time to make a trip to NYC. Carpool, anyone?
