Grand Theft Auto V Special & Collector’s Editions Detailed

Many have been waiting to hear what different editions Rockstar plan to release for the upcoming behemoth that is Grand Theft Auto V. Well now we have full details on all three versions which you can chose from and also news of a pre-order bonus. Lets start with that. If you pre-order the game you will gain access to pilot the Atomic Blimp that has made an appearance in the previous trailers so far. Not only is this an awesome reason to pre-order, but is the first confirmation that you can actually fly the blimp and it isn't just in the background.

Of course the first version you can get is your regular retail copy with comes with no extras other than the aforementioned Atomic Blimp if you pre-order. The next best thing is the Special Edition which comes with the following goodies:

Steelbook case for the game with exclusive artwork

Blueprint map of Los Santos and Blaine County

Special Ability Boost - Characters special ability will fill 25% faster

Stunt Plane Trials

Bonus Outfits, Tattoos and Weapons

But that’s not all. If you want to spend even more then you can buy the Collector’s Edition which comes with even more for you to enjoy. As well as everything that comes with the Special Edition you also get the following:

Security Deposit Bag with Logo Key

Los Santos Snapback Cap

Classic GTA Characters to use in GTA Online

Unique Vehicles and Garage Property

Of course all versions will be available on either Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. So how much will these editions set you back? The Special Edition will cost $79.99 (£64.99 in UK) whilst the Collector’s Edition will cost $149.99 (£119.99 in UK). This is a very high price indeed which many won’t be interested in but these are clearly made for the superfans like myself. I will be pre-ordering a Collector’s Edition. Which version, if any, will you be picking up come September 17th?
