Harvey Weinstein when he was at Miramax brought the rights to Artemis Fowl novels in 2001 but the rights remained at Disney. Now a deal has been reached Disney and Harvey Weinstein thanks to Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn and Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal (the Meet the Parents Trilogy, The Good Shepherd) are set to Executive Produce.
