The developers of Orcs Must Die – Robot Entertainment – have announced that their critically acclaimed strategy game, Hero Academy, is coming to Steam on August 8, 2012. If you’re wondering why you’ve never heard of it before it is most likely due to the fact that Hero Academy is an iOS game. Hero Academy is a turn-based, two-player tactical game where in opponents are played asynchronously. Meaning, you take your turn, inform your opponent and wait for a response which allows multiple games to be played simultaneously.
Players who purchase the game when it releases on Steam will unlock an exclusive new heroic team featuring the mercenaries from Valve Corporation's wildly popular Team Fortress 2. Additionally, each heroic expansion team purchased in Hero Academy on Steam will unlock a unique item in Team Fortress 2.
