Homefront: The Revolution Announced for 2015 Release

Crytek's popular shooter from 2011, Homefront, is getting itself a sequel for next generation platforms.  Homefront: The Revolution will be released on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One sometime during 2015. The game was announced with a trailer which you can view below.

The sequel was originally being worked on for THQ prior to the company being dissolved. After that happened, Crytek purchased the rights to the franchise to preserve the work they had made on the title. The game is being developed by Crytek UK and will be co-published by both Crytek and Deep Silver.
The game will take place four years after Korean forces have occupied the US, as shown in the original game. We will follow a whole new set of characters as they try to fight back against these forces in the middle of Philadelphia.  With E3 just around the corner, I'm sure we'll more of Homefront: The Revolution very soon.
