House of Cards Releases Season 5 Teaser and Premiere Date

House of Cards appropriately released a teaser trailer for its fifth season on Friday, which just happened to be Inauguration Day here in the U.S. The promo revealed that the fifth season of House of Cards will premiere on Netflix on May 30 - several months after the shows traditional premiere date of late February/early March. The trailer is eerie with kids reciting the “Pledge of Allegiance” in the background as an upside American flag (the official symbol for distress) comes into view. The video was tweeted along with the message, “We make the terror," which is a line from the finale of season four. The end of last season also hinted that Claire and Frank might start showing some cracks in their complicated relationship. The series is predicted to have a few changes without series creator Beau Willmon running the show. Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese will be serving as co-showrunners for this upcoming season. It will be interesting to see what this award-winning Netflix series brings with its fifth season.
