Hulu Sets Premiere Date for The Handmaid’s Tale

The much-anticipated The Handmaid’s Tale now has a premiere date on Hulu. This show based on Margaret Atwood’s best-selling novel will be available on Wednesday, April 26, according to Deadline. All ten episodes of the first season will be available at this time. The series tells the story of a dystopia names Gilead, a totalitarian society in a place that was formerly part of the United States. This society is faced with environmental disasters, a low birthrate, and is ruled by a twisted fundamentalist regime that treats women as property of the state. The series stars Elisabeth Moss as Offred, one of the few fertile women left in Gilead and a Handmaid in the Commander’s household. She is forced into sexual servitude as an attempt to repopulate the country. Other cast members include Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, Ann Dowd, and O-T Fagbenle. Will you be watching to see this tale unfold?
