Image Comics to Donate Funds to Las Vegas Survivors

Image Comics has teamed up with volunteers such as J H Williams III and Kurt Busiek to create the “Where We Live” anthology. The book will raise funds for the survivors of the Las Vegas shooting. Proceeds will be donated to the GoFundMe campaign for Vegas survivors. The project is being overseen by Williams in conjunction with many others. It will also feature contributions from both Busiek and James Robinson.     Williams, who resides in Las Vegas said that “I felt like something needed to be done to help in a unique way… I wanted to create a benefit book project for the survivors…” He went on to say that he hopes not only to help those in need but also to create a dialogue on how future tragedies can be avoided. The Image Comics book will touch on a wide variety of issues ranging from mental health stigmatization to gun control. It will also reportedly focus in on different perspectives in relation to these themes as well as to the "value of a compassionate society."     Williams and Robinson attended the Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival to announce the book on Saturday the fourth. I think we can expect this to be a passionate and sincere take on the issues surrounding mass shootings. It obviously comes from a place of deep meaning and understanding. I would also estimate that Mr. Busiek, in particular, will offer up a hard line take on these issues, given his vocal socio-political views.     Please refer to the link below to find out how to donate to the survivors of the Las Vegas shooting. https://www.gofundme.com/dr2ks2-las-vegas-victims-fund
