Image Expo Adds Guests and Variants

By now, I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you about the highly anticipated Image Expo on January 9th, 2014 in San Francisco.  For those of you on the fence about going, here are a few updates that might help you make up your mind. There have been three additional guests confirmed for attendance and added to the lineup: writer of the Saviors James Robinson, artist of Outcast Paul Azaceta, and writer of Ghosted Joshua Williamson.  Outcast has yet to be released, but with Robert Kirkman as writer, it may be one of Image’s most anticipated upcoming series yet. Some exclusive variants have also been added for premium ticket holders, but which will also be on-sale at the event: The Walking Dead #1 full color cover by Nick Dragotta, The Walking Dead #1 black and white variant cover by Nick Dragotta, Black Science #1 with a cover by Sanford Greene, Sex Criminals #1 with a cover by Chip Zdarsky, Ghosted #6 black and white variant by Matteo Scalera, Manifest Destiny #3 black and white variant by Matthew Roberts, and Prophet #42 with a cover by Brandon Graham.

The three new guests bring the total number of creators to twelve, and what an exciting list it is.  The other attendees are as follows: Image Comics partner and the Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, Eisner Award winner and writer of Sex Criminals and Satellite Sam Matt Fraction, writer of Black Science and Deadly Class Rick Remender, writer of Pretty Deadly Kelly Sue DeConnick, Eisner Award winning writer and artist of Prophet and Multiple Warheads Brandon Graham, artist of East of West Nick Dragotta, writer of Morning Glories and Bedlam Nick Spencer, writer of Glory Joe Keatinge, and artist of Deadly Class Wes Craig. Just a glance at what’s expected is a little reminder of how massive of a year Image Comics has had—not that we need reminding.  Tickets are still on sale of the January 9th event, but are expected to sell out quickly. unnamed (1)   unnamed (2)unnamed (3)
