J.J. Abrams Developing New Sci-Fi Show for HBO

J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot and HBO are developing another sci-fi drama off of the heels of Westworld’s strong first season. The project is titled Glare and is being written by Javier Gullón. It is a sci-fi adventure exploring the colonization of another planet. Gullón will also executive produce, along with Bad Robot’s Abrams and Ben Stephenson. Glare originated from a deal Bad Robot signed with Gullón a year ago, optioning the story that is an original idea of Gullón's, according to Deadline. This isn’t Abrams first project set in space. He has worked on both the new Star Trek films and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Glare will be an hour-long drama set in space, but not much else is known about this upcoming project.
