Jason Voorhees Announced for Mortal Kombat X DLC

"NetherRealm just had to announce something on Friday the 13th..."
A whole bunch of new info has been out this week for Mortal Kombat X since it is about a month away from release that will include a new Kombat Kast stream by NetherRealm Studios later today. There was yesterday's new trailer featuring the return of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade as well as today's new stream that will show off some of the highly anticipated story mode. First off the bad news: those that don't have the current consoles and waiting for the last-gen versions of the game will have to wait a little longer. The 360 and PS3 versions of MKX have been delayed to this summer. Keep in mind NetherRealm themselves are not handling these versions.
Now the good news that fans have been waiting for since the game was announced last year. The first DLC character for Mortal Kombat X despite Goro being the pre-order bonus is none other than Friday the 13th's Jason Voorhees.

What clever timing by NetherRealm to finally announce the character fans wanted since they included Freddy Krueger as DLC back in the 2011 reboot. No gameplay was shown for Jason as it was a straight up teaser. He will be included in the Kombat Pack that will also include more characters and skins for the existing cast.
Mortal Kombat X comes out on April 14th for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC while Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 owners have to wait till this summer.
