Joseph Fiennes Joins The Handmaid’s Tale

Hulu's The Handmaid’s Tale has found its leading man. Joseph Fiennes has been cast opposite Elisabeth Moss in the 10-episode adaptation, according to TVLine. He is a high-ranking official over a household where Offred (Moss) is a Handmaid. The project is based on a novel of the same title, written by Margaret Atwood and published in 1985. It will start shooting this fall in Toronto and is set to premiere on Hulu in 2017. The cast also includes Max Minghella (The Mindy Project), Ann Dowd (The Leftovers, Masters of Sex), Samira Wiley (Orange is the New Black) and Madeline Brewer (Hemlock Grove, Orange is the New Black).
