Justice League Action Officially Announced

" DC animation mainstays leave me hopeful for the series."
It’s been a while since we heard anything about the new Justice League series, but not only has Cartoon Network officially announced the project (titled Justice League Action), they've also released information on some of the voice cast and the show itself. Kevin Conroy will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman from Batman: The Animated Series and Justice League, with Mark Hamill doing the same for the Joker. James Woods will be voicing Lex Luthor, and Diedrich Bader - the voice of Batman in Batman: The Brave and the Bold - will provide voice duties for Booster Gold. Teen Titans Go!’s Sam Register will executive produce the series, while Butch Lukic (Batman Beyond, Justice League), Alan Burnett (Batman: The Animated Series), and Jim Krieg (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) will serve as producers. No need to wait for the good stuff to start, each eleven-minute episode jumps in with lightning-paced action and heroics. Whether defending the Earth, facing invaders from space, or battling the bizarre forces of magic, the always-rotating team of Justice League heroes, are up to any challenge." Despite sharing some similarities with Teen Titans Go!, the talent behind Justice League Action leaves me hopeful it will be a more substantial offering. As the show’s premiere date is currently unknown, though, it may be some time before fans know what to expect.
