Turn off the Lights

Justified – Fixer

When Gutterson gives Raylan an informant to speak to he meets with the man and is amused by him. The tip he gave them comes through and when he tries to pay him the reward he gets suspicious investigating the mans "fixer" and another con-man.

Justified continues to impress. Timothy Olyphant as U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens gives one wonderful understated performance after another supported by a solid supporting cast of regulars that is well put together. Especially Joelle Carter as Ava Crowder who has turned some heads. I think there has been some shuffling of episodes and her part is getting a little more play based on viewer response.

This episode originally was scheduled for later in the season, but it fit in really well early this season to continue to build on Raylan's reputation as a lawman extraordinaire. Here's a man that uses his instincts as well as his talents to get the job done. A man's man, but also definitely there is something for the women as well.

David Eigenberg as Arnold Pinter is absolutely wonderful with his New York ways and drinking the Egg Creams. He plays the character to the hilt and I think would make a great regular. His short lived associate, Page Kennedy as Curtis Mims aka the gardener also "The Fixer" was excellent as well. Rounding out the cast this week were the smarmy Greg Cromer as Travis Travers and Erin Cardillo as Samantha.

Through some really incredible blunders on the part of the criminals, Raylan manages to stop a murder and end the criminal careers of a few others. They really mean "Justified" when they used this as the title of the show. Some lawmen go their whole careers without pulling a gun. It is really true that if you garner a reputation you will get people gunning for you. This episode was a perfect example. Another enjoyable episode of Justified on FX. I think this series will be around for a long time. Thanks for reading...
