King Dedede Invades Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS

Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai has updated the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS site to unveil the twenty-first character in the games’ all-star roster: King Dedede.

Dedede, who returns from Super Smash Bros. Brawl seems to be as big, powerful and full of expression since his debut in the original Kirby’s Dream Land. From the looks of his screenshots, not much has changed movewise for the semi-baddie during his transition to Wii U and Nintendo 3DS since he’s still sporting that jet-powered hammer. We’ll see if Sakurai decides to voice Dedede again like he did in Brawl.
With twenty-one characters down, four being new, the Smash roster is started to feel a bit fleshed out. However, we are still missing out of many veteran characters like Diddy Kong, Ganondorf, and Solid Snake, while missing out on representatives of other Nintendo games like Xenoblade Chronicles, Golden Sun, Sin & Punishment or even the Wii’s Miis.
