Kirby: Genesis

Jack Kirby: the "King of Comics." Writer, artist and editor in all three ages of comics until his death in 1994, Kirby not only designed but created some of the most prolific characters of DC and Marvel including Galactus, the Fantastic Four, Etrigan the Demon and New Gods. Now, Dynamic Entertainment will bring all of Kirby's characters together in a new limited series – "Kirby: Genesis."

The idea of "Kirby: Genesis" is the brainchild of writer Kurt Busiek, winner of an Eisner and Harvey award, and artist Alex Ross. The two last worked together in 1993. The series will focus on all of Kirby's characters creator owned from the 80s. Cover art, the layout for the series and the final paintings for the series will be done by Alex Ross. "Kirby: Genesis" will ship this summer and Busiek and Ross hope it will allow comic book readers of this generation to become acquainted with the creative mind that is Jack Kirby.
