Mark Dacascos Joins Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as a Recurring Character

"Not another questionable ally? "
Giving some much needed support to Director Coulson and his team, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has cast Mark Dacascos as Giyera, the head of security for the titular organization. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4p7ac41ayH4 Though Dacascos’ casting was initially mentioned in a synopsis for the eighth episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s third season, “Many Heads, One Tale,” Deadline reports that the role will be “heavily recurring,” meaning we’ll probably see a lot of the above video’s action as the season progresses. As opposed to the reluctant or sometimes allies that Powers Boothe’s Gideon Malick and Constance Zimmer’s Rosalind Price seem to be, Giyera is the only new cast member of Season 3 that looks like he’ll be firmly on the side of S.H.I.E.L.D. In addition to news of who'll be playing the members of the Secret Warriors, we'll hopefully see more allies added to the show in the coming weeks. The Hawaiian actor and martial artist was previously seen on Hawaii 5-O as villain Wo-Fat, and hosts Iron Chef America as The Chairman. As ComicBook.com notes, he has also had roles in a number of genre projects, like The Crow: Stairway to Heaven, the 1990 The Flash, and video game adaptations Mortal Kombat: Legacy and Double Dragon. The ”Many Heads, One Tale” episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air Tuesday, November 17 at 9:00 PM on ABC. Featured image via Hippo Wallpapers.
