Milla Jovovich says fifth ‘Resident Evil’ is happening

If you thought that Resident Evil: Afterlife would be the last installment of the Resident Evil series, think again. According to ComingSoon.net, the film’s leading lady Milla Jovovich says that a fifth movie is happening:

"This new 'Resident Evil' is the first one to ever open at No. 1 worldwide. It's the biggest movie in the franchise. So we're definitely going to make another one."

The star also indicates that the project will be “more interactive” than the previous films:

"We've been talking to a lot of fans on Twitter and stuff, so it's probably going to be one of the first movies where we really talk to fans to see what they want, and what characters they want to see. It's going to be a more interactive process."

None of this should be too surprising, as “Afterlife” ended with a cliffhanger instead of a resolute ending. The Paul W.S. Anderson film, which also stars Ali Larter and Wentworth Miller, grossed over $70 million worldwide, despite lackluster reviews.
