Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation Trailer

"We finally get a glimpse at the newest addition to the "Mission Impossible" franchise"
Taking the internet by storm yesterday was the first teaser for the Rogue Nation installment of the popular Mission Impossible series. With glimpses of crazy stunts, massive explosions, a surprisingly-acrobatic Tom Cruise, and some well-intentioned comic relief, this trailer has everything. Don't take my word for it, see it in all of its glory below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNPZGc0WmfM A supercut of the action set pieces for which Mission Impossible is famous, the teaser offered little in the way of plot revelation. Today, Paramount and Skydance released the full (2:41) trailer, complete with film details, plot outline, and extended versions of the teaser's many scenes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOW_azQbOjw&t=30 With a counter-IMF syndicate running amok, Ethan Hunt (Cruise) must band together with characters new and old to complete his nearly-impossible mission. In the trailer we see cooperation with Jeremy Renner, the return of the comedically-inclined technological wiz, Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg), and trust issues arising with newfound partner, Rebecca Ferguson. While most of the trailer is deadly serious (apart from everything Pegg says), we do get a flash of self-awareness at the very end, via the film's most insane stunt. As Cruise hangs from the door of a cargo plane while it begins to take off, the unmistakable theme begins to play, imparting the joviality of a film that knows just how crazy it is, and is not afraid to show it.
