Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Update Coming in April

Capcom has announced today that they are issuing an update to the Wii U version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate that will add features based on “community feedback.”

The update, slated for April, will bring two new features to the game. First is the inclusion of off-TV play, which will allow players to play the entire game off the Gamepad. The second is cross-region online play, allowing North American and European players to play online together. It’s really neat that Capcom, after straight-up denying off-TV and cross-region play mere weeks ago, has reversed their decision because of their fans.

Capcom has also announced that there will be free downloadable quests that will trickle down throughout the first few months of the game’s release. The first quest will be available at launch.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be out on store shelves as well as the Nintendo eShop for both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS on March 19th in North America and March 22nd in Europe. A demo is available now on both systems’ eShop with two monsters to defeat and a variety of classes to try out.
