New Ninja Gaiden 3 Details Announced

Though Tomonobu Itagaki is gone, the people at Team Ninja are still bringing us the latest Ninja Gaiden game. So far little is known, but project lead Yosuke Hayashi has come out recently witth some interesting tidbits. The game will of course feature Ryu Hayabusa, but unlike in the last two it will have no extra playable characters. They plan to make up for this by focussing more on Ryu, and plan to make him out to be more of a "dark Japanese hero." He says that Team Ninja is "trying to take the violent concepts even deeper and make people realize how it feels to actually kill someone and what it is to actually gut someone," They want the focus to be more on the violence, rather than just the blood and gore. Expect Fox News to do a piece once there's more info (or maybe not).

While the story is all Ryu, Hayashi has come out and said that there will be a "complex multiplayer mode." What this could mean is anyone's guess, but it will be interesting to see how the game handles multiplayer since Ninja Gaiden 2's co-op was a bit tacked on. Though on a more interesting note in the interview Hayashi hinted at possible Playstation Move support. When asked directly about it his responce was only that iit's "closely guarded secret."
