New XBOX Game Pass Gives Players Access to over 100 Titles

...For the Price of not even One!

Today Microsoft announced a new subscription service called Xbox Game Pass starting this Spring. For $9.99 a month, you can get access to over 100 Xbox One and previous Xbox generation games. All these games are downloadable, meaning that this isn't a streaming service. However, Microsoft doesn't say how long the games will stay in your library once downloaded. If you subscribe to the service, you can purchase all the Xbox One games in the library at a discount. It makes me think downloaded games stay in your library until the next batch becomes available the following month. Some pretty big games are going to be available according to Microsoft too. Here is broad view of what to expect from today's announcement: "With great games from top industry publishers such as 2K, 505 Games, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Capcom, Codemasters, Deep Silver, Focus Home Interactive, SEGA, SNK CORPORATION, THQ Nordic GmbH, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Microsoft Studios, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and you will always find something exciting to play across a variety of genres. Some of the fan-favorite titles coming to Xbox Game Pass when it launches to the broader Xbox community later this spring include Halo 5: Guardians, Payday 2, NBA 2K16 and SoulCalibur II." Right now the Game Pass service is being tested by a small group of subscribers. It'll be interesting to learn more about this service as we get closer to "later Spring". And most importantly, will it be worth it?
