Sony announced today that PlayStation Plus content would start rolling to PlayStation Plus subscribers on a bi-weekly schedule. Since the service began last month, subscribers have had access to exclusive discounts, and free access to a select few PlayStation Network games. One of the perks to PlayStation Plus that Sony has been advertising has been the Game trial.
When you first see Earthworm Jim HD, coming to PSN on August 4, the first thing you might notice is how much it resembles the quirky cow-dotted landscape you remember. All of the game levels from the 16-bit Super Nintendo game are there. However, a side-by-side comparison of the new Earthworm Jim to its predecessor serves as a reminder of how far graphic imagery has come. You will laugh at how pixilated the original looks now.
Singularity takes place on a fictional Russian island called Katorga-12, the sight of radical tests of a never before seen element referred to as E99. From the game’s opening, it is obvious that the new element has caused a great amount of destruction and suffering for the residents of the island and it’s your job to find out how to contain the situation before it spills over the globe.
For everyone out there wondering when you can finally get your hands on Sony’s Little Big Planet 2 don’t worry, it may be sooner than you think. They have just announced that it will be coming to North America on November 16th, but they also announced that there will be a collector’s edition which will include the following:
Those hoping to get their hands on SOCOM 4 in 2010 will be disappointed to know that Zipper’s SOCOM 4 for the PlayStation 3 has been pushed back to 2011. Jeremy Dunham, Senior Community Manager, Zipper Interactive made the announcement via the official SOCOM blog this past Wednesday. With the heavy anticipation to Zipper’s return to the SOCOM franchise on PS3, the team at Zipper is instead going to put in a little extra development time, as Dunham notes in the official post.
If there is one thing that we see less and less of as games progress is the idea of split screen. With online being such a big hit game developers have been slowing taking out of their games which to me has been a huge disappointment.
