Rachel Weisz Negotiating for “Bourne Legacy”

Rachel Weisz has been extremely busy lately, but it’s been quite some time since she’s starred in a large-scale feature; her most recent films include Agora, The Lovely Bones, and The Whistleblower. However, all of that looks to change in the near future as she signs on for what might be her biggest project ever, The Bourne Legacy.

The Oscar winner has reportedly been negotiating to star in Disney’s upcoming Oz: The Great and Powerful alongside Mila Kunis and James Franco. That news hit last week, but here’s where the dilemma starts: she’s reportedly negotiating for a role in Tony Gilroy’s The Bourne Legacy with Jeremy Renner.

Director Sam Raimi plans to begin “Oz” sometime this summer, while Gilroy will commence filming "Legacy" in September. The timing conflicts might lead to her falling out of one of these projects, as great as it would be to see her do both.

Deadline Hollywood reveals that her negotiations for “Legacy” are deeper than those for “Oz,” so if she can only do one, expect her to officially sign on for the former flick. Though she’d be terrific in both films, I’d much rather see her live it up a little with a fantastical performance in Oz: The Great and Powerful.

Which film should Weisz star in?
