Turn off the Lights

Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus Officially Announced

Earlier this week, the Playstation Facebook page had a mysterious teaser image stating "When Worlds Collide." Turns out it is indeed a new Ratchet & Clank game for the Playstation 3 by Insomniac Games.

Subtitled Into the Nexus, the latest Ratchet & Clank game is an epilogue of the "Future" series and a return to the traditional gameplay the franchise has been known for over a decade after dabbling around co-op with All in One and tower defense with Full Frontal Assault. While is it unfortunately not a Playstation 4 game as some fans would of hoped, it is the franchise's swan song on the PS3 and it is going out with a bang with crazy gameplay and crazier weapons as advertised in the announcement trailer below.

Also seen in the trailer is a heavy focus on gravity as some of the new weapons and gadgets mess around with it. In addition, there are zero gravity platforming sections at space, which looked pretty cool so far. The more surprising news is that this sequel is only going to cost 30 dollars both at retailers and on Playstation Network.

For those worried about the cheaper price tag, Insomniac claims that the game is about as long as A Crack in Time and way bigger than the downloadable entries Quest for Booty and Full Frontal Assault. Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus comes out this holiday season only for the Playstation 3 and shows that even Sony is not slowing down on first party games this current console generation.
