Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica HD Dated

A while ago Capcom announced high definition remakes of both Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica, but neither the release dates nor prices were announced for them. Now Capcom has announced the former for both titles in the United States. We already know that both Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica will be released in Japan on September 8th as part of a 15th Anniversary bundle, but they have just announced the American release dates at Comic-Con.

Resident Evil 4 HD will arrive on both PlayStation Network and Xbox 360 Games on Demand on September 20th, 2011, with achievements and trophies, while Resident Evil: Code Veronica HD will be released in the US one week later, on September 27th, 2011. It will also arrive on the PS3 and Xbox 360's respective digital download services.

I'm not entirely sure whether to react with skepticism or joy to these remakes. I'll probably buy Resident Evil 4 HD since I love that game and haven't played through it quite as much as others (I've only maxed out the Wii version), but I won't buy Resident Evil: Code Veronica HD since the old controls put me off somewhat. Don't get me wrong, Resident Evil 4 and 5 are pretty clunky themselves, but the old "Resident Evil" games are... clunkier. There will be reviews for both Resident Evil 4 HD and Resident Evil: Code Veronica HD on the week of release at Player Affinity, so make sure to check back then.
