Turn off the Lights

Respawn’s First Game is Titanfall

Today, a leaked GameInformer issue revealed the first game from Respawn Entertainment, Titanfall.

Respawn Entertainment, a team of developers made up mostly of Call of Duty vets, had their much-anticipated first game, Titanfall, leaked by Google Play. Subscribers to Game Informer were given a surprise today with the early download of the July issue, which revealed the game. Given that E3 is next week, and subscribers generally have their copies of Game Informer in hand by the middle of the month before the magazine hits newsstands, it is safe to say that Titanfall was probably an E3 announced game. All that aside, reports have it that Titanfall will be a Microsoft exclusive, first person shooter set in the future. The game will also feature mechs, called Titans, that are pilotable.

Titanfall is said to be a multiplayer-only game, which begs the question as to whether or not it will be one of the first games to utilize the always-on aspect of the Xbox One. Either way, E3 is right around the corner, and the July issue of GameInformer due to subscribers in the next week, so there'll be plenty more of the game to chew on soon enough. Titanfall is rumored to be released in the Spring of 2014 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
