"These MIGHT Be The Rumors You're Looking For..."

Star Wars Battlefront will be more focused on the original trilogy, will have content set between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens and will allow 64 players to compete online in one match. All of this and more has leaked out. This is still a rumor of course, until EA confirms it, but the leak comes from MakingStarWars.net. This site has had fairly accurate information about the upcoming Star Wars sequel, Force Awakens, so there is a very good change these rumors are true. Still, not a guarantee.
One of the more interesting bits of information to come out of this supposed leak is the reveal of a "hero" system. This system is still being worked on and balanced but it sounds like it will work similarly to how heroes worked in Battlefront 2. Players will need to earn points during a match and once they have enough they can become a hero. Heroes will have special abilities and powers.

Other exciting bits of news include:
  • Space and land battles on some maps.
  • Multiplayer will be 64 players online, 32 vs 32.
  • Most of the campaign and content will come from the Original Trilogy, only a small amount is from the prequel movies.
  • The single player campaign is long, compared to most shooters.
  • The game will have 5 DLC packs and a Season Pass. The DLC packs will include new maps, weapons and heroes.

You can read the entire list of leaked information at MakingStarWars.net, which if you are a huge Battlefront fan you should. Its a big list and it has gotten me more excited to get my hands on this new Star Wars Battlefront game.
Star Wars Battlefront is coming out later this year, sometime before the new Star Wars movie, It is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC and is being made by DICE, the makers of the Battlefield series.
