Script in Place for Fifth ‘Rambo’ Film

It was over a year ago that Sylvester Stallone officially stated he was “about 99 percent sure” that the action-packed “Rambo” series was over. However, he's apparently had meetings about a follow-up to 2008’s Rambo and it seems that the one percent chance for this project might be the winner.

Empire Online relays that Sean Hood, who wrote the script for this weekend’s Conan the Barbarian, has given Millennium his screenplay for a fifth “Rambo” film, titled Rambo: Last Blood. According to an interview, Hood got together with Stallone twice and provided materials to help the writing process, including an unnamed book.

Though the writing of the screenplay is something official and urged on by the studio, that doesn’t mean that “Last Blood” will actually hit the silver screen anytime soon if ever at all. Here’s what Hood had to say on that:

“As of now, I don't know whether Mr. Stallone will actually do it. Right now, as I understand it, he has his hands full with
Bullet to the Head and Expendables 2. But Millennium films did hire me to complete the screenplay and realise his story, and my hope is that he'll eventually be inspired to do one more Rambo film, with the tone of Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven.”

Are you liking the idea of a fifth “Rambo” flick, or has the series put out enough blood for the fourth one to suffice as a conclusion?
