Season 3 Info for AMC’s Resurrected ‘The Killing’

The canceled AMC drama The Killing will be making a comeback for a third season. The crime-centered show was given the axe last year when its first two seasons frustrated both critics and audiences with its unresolved plotline involving the murder of Rosie Larsen. But it seems AMC saw something in The Killing, giving it another chance to prove its worth.

In the third season Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman will be brought back in their roles as detectives Sarah Linden and Steve Holder. The season takes place a year after the Larsen murder was solved, with Linden no longer a detective. A runaway case leads to a slew of horrific murders that ropes Linden right back into the job she had left for good.

Show creator Veena Sud said, “I couldn't be happier to know that I will be returning to work with AMC, FTVS and Mireille and Joel on what is and has always been a passion project for me. To the fans that have supported the series, thank you for doing so. My team and I will work hard to deliver the best story that we can for Season 3.” Let’s hope they learn their lesson from the first two seasons and give the fans what they want: a resolution.
