Showtime Drops New ‘Twin Peaks’ Teaser

Showtime has revealed a new teaser for the much-anticipated reboot of the cult series, Twin Peaks. The short clip (below) features the Grammy-winning theme music from the original series, played by the composer himself, Angelo Badalamenti. This music is eerily, haunting, and had a huge role in the series. Badalamenti didn’t just win the Grammy Award for the theme music in the original series, but the “Soundtrack Album from Twin Peaks” also achieved gold status in 25 countries. He has also worked with David Lynch on The Straight Story and Mulholland Drive, which each earned Badalamenti Golden Globe nominations. People have been buzzing about the Twin Peaks reboot, which isn’t set to air until 2017. The Showtime revival will pick up 25 years after the shocking murder of Laura Palmer that set off the series back in 1990. This new series is written and produced by series creators and executive producers Lynch and Mark Frost, with each episode being directed by Lynch. Many of the original cast will be returning for this new series, including Special Agent Dale Cooper himself, played by Kyle MacLachlan. Check out the new teaser trailer featuring Angel Badalamenti below.
